October 3, 2025 — Mandeville Regional Hospital Receives Urology Equipment
Donated urology equipment valued at over J$21 million to the Mandeville Regional Hospital. Now in its fourth year supporting the hospital’s urology services, the Foundation gifted instruments for diagnosing and treating urinary tract and male reproductive conditions — enabling more precise, minimally invasive procedures, shorter hospital stays and faster patient recovery.
May 16, 2022 — Mandeville Hospital Receives Donation of Urology Equipment
Donated a resectoscope valued at J$1.1 million to the Mandeville Regional Hospital’s urology department, for use in prostate and bladder surgeries. The equipment and its accessories support most of the department’s endoscopic surgeries and are used weekly — funded through a raffle after COVID-19 restrictions forced the cancellation of the Foundation’s two main fundraisers that year.

May 6, 2021 — Mandeville Hospital Receives State-of-the-art Equipment to Detect Laryngeal Cancer
Donated rigid laryngoscopes, a chest support unit and biopsy equipment valued at J$1.5 million to the Mandeville Regional Hospital’s ENT Department, which it has adopted. The state-of-the-art equipment detects and treats laryngeal cancer — the sixth most common cancer in men — bringing to central Jamaica services that previously required travel to Kingston or Montego Bay, and enabling life-saving early detection.

November 13, 2020 — Masks, Kettles and Microwaves Donated to Regional Hospital
Donated 1,000 surgical masks, two kettles and four microwaves — approximately J$200,000 — to the Mandeville Regional Hospital in support of its COVID-19 response. Presented at a handover in the MRH Conference Room during the pandemic, the gift was described by the Foundation as a token of love to boost staff morale as the hospital worked to stem COVID-19 across the southern region.

July 22, 2016 — Ear, Nose and Throat Services Boosted in Southern Region
Donated clinical ENT equipment — including suction tubes and biopsy forceps — to the Mandeville Regional Hospital, funded by proceeds of its July 2 Run/Walk. This Phase 1 support enabled emergency and surgical procedures for adult patients previously referred to Kingston, with a second phase planned to address paediatric needs — described by the department as a valuable public/private partnership.
